Vole guards are the key to protecting trees from rodents in the first few years of growth. Pastures can have especially high populations of mice and voles which crave the mineral-rich bark at the bottom of the stem. Since these creatures are fairly small, the vole guards need to be only a few inches in height. Our guards are approximately 9 inches long. Press them in the soil just a bit to keep rodents from getting access to your young trees.
Combine with a fall application of Vole Repellent to give your trees every advantage of a quiet winter.
